By bike to Nikiszowiec

The fastest, healthiest and most ecological way to get to know various corners of Katowice is to travel by bike. We meet at the market square in Katowice and there we end our approximately 18 km loop through several districts of Katowice. On the route, we will see objects that are the tourist showcase of Katowice and which will help the guide talk about the history and tradition of the region.

At the beginning we will see the Monument to the Silesian Insurgents and the "Spodek". Then, through the Culture Zone, we will reach Bogucice (the oldest district of Katowice). There we will admire the Basilica of St. Stephen and Our Lady of Bogucka and a mural of the legend of world Himalayan mountaineering - Jerzy Kukuczka. Then, through the Valley of the Three Ponds, which is a popular recreation site, we will reach Nikiszowiec. Nikiszowiec boasts buildings from the early 20th century and shows life in a typical Silesian "family house". On the way back we will visit the Paderewskiego Housing Estate and the Silesian Sejm Square. We will also reach the Cathedral of Christ the King, where Pope John Paul II visited. Finally, we will see the bustling Dworcowa and Mariacka streets.
