Katowice time travel

Katowice time travel is a trip during which we get to know the city of different eras. The historic bus we travel in takes us back to the times of the Polish People's Republic. Thanks to the Ikarus 260 or 280 vehicle, which was once a permanent element of the landscape of Silesian roads, we will reach the most interesting places in Katowice. Hold on tight, because we are about to set off!

We meet at the Katowice Market Square, where the guide tells you about the foundation of the city. After a short walk along Aleja Korfantego and visiting the Monument to the Silesian Insurgents, we get on our "private" historic bus. The first opportunity to take exceptional photos is provided by the stop at Spodek. Nearby is the Culture Zone, established on the site of "Ferdinand-Grube", opened in 1823. Of course, we visit one of the biggest attractions of Katowice - Nikiszowiec, an extraordinary workers' housing estate built at the beginning of the 20th century. We also stop at the Wujek Mine, where tragic events took place in 1981. Traveling through the southern part of Katowice we reach the majestic Archcathedral of Christ the King. The penultimate stop is the Silesian Sejm Square, where we admire primarily the interwar architecture. Our Katowice journey through time ends where we started, at the former Hotel Katowice.
