Katowice tour by bike

Katowice tour by bike is for everyone who can ride a bike and wants to get to know the capital of Silesia in a comfortable, compact and attractive way. Our approximately 5-kilometer route is designed to be physically undemanding while also passing the most interesting spots in the center of Katowice. In approximately two hours, you'll learn about the city's history, the unique character of the region, and hear many interesting facts about the places and buildings visited along the route.

The tour begins with a meeting in the Market Square, where your guide will explain the origins of Katowice, which are linked to the Rawa River. Cycling along Korfantego Avenue will take you to the Silesian Insurgents Monument and then to Spodek Arena. Nearby are the NOSPR building and the International Congress Center. Then, along the Volleyball Alley of Stars and along Superjednostka Street, you'll reach the former bathhouse. At Freedom Square, we'll discuss the monument, and then head south. We'll pass the historic District Court building and visit the square housing the socialist realist Youth Palace. We'll also see Katowice's first Skyscraper and other modernist buildings from the interwar period. Our route also includes the Archcathedral of Christ the King and Silesian Parliament Square. At the Old Railway Station we will see how Katowice is currently changing and along Staromiejska Street we will return to the Market Square "in the rhythm of the blues".
